Communiversity is a humble initiative to reimagine higher education in Nepal by bringing academia, industry and community together. We integrate local knowledge and wisdom from the community into the teaching and learning process to foster agency in self and community.

In Communiversity programs, students are engaged in a holistic learning experience, by immersing themselves in the community, reflecting within themselves, and being able to make a tangible impact in the community.

OUR APPROACH

The Communiversity Model is inspired by the Triple Helix of Innovation model, where academia, industry, and local community come together to co-create a dynamic learning environment bridging the gap between theory and practice and developing a contextual curriculum. Communities offer local knowledge and resources, industry stakeholders provide market insights and job opportunities for students, and academic institutions contribute expertise in curriculum design, pedagogy, and research methods. This co-creation approach nurtures entrepreneurial mindsets and prepares students for real-world challenges.

Social Innovation Fellowship 2025

In the Social Innovation Fellowship 2025 by Communiversity Nepal, you'll embark on an 8-week (JAN 3 TO MARCH 1) immersive program that connects you with communities across three diverse regions:

1. Janakpur (Madhesh)
2. Helambu (Himal)
3. Panchkhal (Pahad)

Throughout the journey, you will engage in three interdisciplinary courses—Social Entrepreneurship, Project Management, and Intersectional Identities—each linked to a community project.

After the immersion, you'll engage in a venture-building sprint to transform your insights into actionable projects. You'll be paired with mentors from the Nepali diaspora and local professionals, gaining priority hiring opportunities from our industry partners. Additionally, you'll have access to an entrepreneurial ecosystem, including incubation programs at King's College.
